There is something about warm sweet apples and a hint of cinnamon in a dessert that makes us go weak at the knees. Honestly, anything containing that delicious combination is a hit in our house.
If you didn’t already know this is the second post in our series of crock-pot recipe favourites. Our first one featured our yummy protein packed “Kumara, Cauliflower and Chickpea Curry” that we cooked in the Crock-Pot Traditional – CHP200 click here for the recipe.
For this recipe, we decided to put a spin on our favourite apple crumble and try out a Gluten-free Crowd-pleasing Apple Crumble Cake (Get excited guys – this ones bowl licking good!). This is super simple to make and you only need a handful of ingredients from your pantry.
For this recipe, we used the new Crock-Pot® Lift & Serve – CHP450 which is a convenient way to make a dessert or dinner meal. There’s more leeway in cooking time, so not much of a risk of burning anything. You only need one mixing bowl for easy clean-up. It’s as simple as prep, set and forget, definitely making it easier for a busy family.
This one would be perfect to put on just after Sunday lunch or even just before you get the kiddies from school, then straight after dinner, you’ll have this divine sweet apple dessert ready to dig into. Just between us, it makes a yummy breakfast the next morning as well. When you make this be sure to tag us @JAYANDSARAHNZ so we get to see your yummy food creations.
To encourage you to get your crock-pot cook on this winter we have an amazing new Crock-Pot® Lift & Serve – CHP450 to give away valued at rrp $159.99. How amazing would that be for the family meals! To read more about the dimensions and functions click here.
