Being a father of three at the age of 25 was never something that I had planned for, but the universe obviously had a different idea and I must say, this is definitely the biggest and most important role that I will ever have in life. Yep she’s a pretty big job.
Full on kiddie fun is where it’s at for me now, and Sarah would even go as far to say that I’m her 4th child ( I guess this is semi true, I do enjoy getting to be a big kid again).
Apart from that crazy kiddie chaos, my other role would have to be “Creative Lifestyle Influencer” (yea I just made that title up, and it does sound as lame as it looks lol) that title covers cookbook author, recipe creator, food photographer and lifestyle influencer. So I would say that I’m pretty much living the dream in both roles!
These roles are total opposite and when it comes to fashion I’m all about that balanced cool casual look. One part of my day might require me to babysit the A-Team (all our kids names start with A) whilst Sarah is running wellness events or business meetings, and the next half of the day I might have some client meetings or Media interviews to do, so I definitely wear clothes that can work in any situation so that’s why – “Cool Casual” suits me to the T.
When it comes to clothes I’m all about getting items that work for lots of different looks and occasions. I mainly stick to neutral colours like greys, blues and blacks that mix and match with lots of things.
These Tarnish Skinny Vintage Biker Jeans have a cool point of difference with the extra patch stitch detailing in the leg – don’t get me wrong, a clean pair of slick jeans look good but I’m all about the distressed rough look. You can dress them up with a shirt or even a blazer, but if you’re going for a casual look, just a simple T like this Mossimo Naughton Tee with or without an unbuttoned shirt will be just fine.
This Gasoline Washed Cotton Bomber Jacket is an easy way to still keep that balance of cool casual and it will work for any occasion like a date night, event launch or even just kicking it with the kiddies.
To wrap up “ Cool Casual Style” is about getting pieces that work with a range of looks, getting colours that match well and sticking with your classics like denim jeans, a good basic T and dressing it up with a jacket or extra layer. The recipe is pretty simple.
