We are so excited and proud to finally be able to share our first family cookbook with you all “ Jay and Sarah – Fresh and Affordable Family Food”. The recipes in our cookbook are based on using whole food ingredients, it also caters to specific diet requirements and features a range of allergy-friendly recipes that are (gluten, dairy, wheat, refined sugar-free and vegan).
Since doing My Kitchen Rules New Zealand we’ve had so many people come to us for tips and recipes on how to cook fresh and flavoursome food, that’s easy and affordable for the family.
With three children under nine, we know how hard it can be to keep everyone happy and healthy. With the use of easily available whole foods and an emphasis on clean eating, we show how much can be achieved on a budget, with minimum fuss.
Not only does the book showcase a catalogue of 100 easy and exciting recipes for nutritious and affordable meals, it offers great suggestions on how to encourage your children to eat healthy, useful tips on the basics and essentials you need to keep stocked up in your pantry as well as your fridge and freezer. We’ve also included our handy hints on how to plan and prepare meals, make smart choices when buying food and how to pack food to keep it fresher for longer.
We have a buffet of yummy recipes that we know your family will enjoy such as Pulled Pork and Orange Couscous Salad, Bacon Wrapped Muffins, Herb-Crusted Fish with Chunky Veggie Chips, Dairy-Free Cheesecake and Sticky Date Pudding with Caramel Sauce.
The book chapters include snack ideas for kids, healthy breakfasts, tasty salads, delicious dinners, guilt free sweets and desserts as well as dressings, dips and sauces to spice up your meals.
